B.2 Connecting a V-Probe to the Test Set
Note:
The Default setting of the V-Probe is set to DHCP mode and iPerf3 TCP/UDP Server mode; no additional configuration is
required to start running a test.
Before running V-Perf or Quick V-Perf tests with V-Probe, connect it to any of the Wi-Fi AP or router ports via the Ethernet RJ-
45 port. V-Probe will obtain an IP address from its DHCP server.
To get the MTTplus-900 module or WX150 unit to detect the V-Probe IP address, connect them to the same network (from
10/100/1000Base-T interface or WiFi air interface) and use V-Probe >
Discovery
function.
B.3. Running V-Perf Tests to a V-Probe
B.3.1 Running a Manual V-Perf Test to a V-Probe
Note:
Before running V-Perf, make sure that the V-Probe is connected to a Wi-Fi AP or router Ethernet port and has a DHCP IP
address assigned to it.
1. From the V-Perf main menu, tap
V-Probe
then
Discover
. The unit will discover V-Probe automatically if it is in the same
subnet.
NOTE:
It can take up to 1 min for the V-Probe to obtain an IP address and respond to a V-Probe discovery message. If
V-Probe discovery doesn’t return results right away, the process can be repeated until it is successfully discovered.
