The Email menu can be used to access the parameter configuration for notifying alarms via email.
3.8.3.1
Email Set
•
Email:
this is used to enable or disable email parameter configuration.
•
Encryption:
this is used to specify whether communication with the email servers is encrypted or not; the use of a
safety transfer protocol with data encryption makes it possible to encode the communicated information (including
your email) to prevent monitoring of transmitted data or the password to hackers. It is advised to activate an
encryption option if possible. Contact your email provider for more information. Possible values: Disable, SSL, TLS
and Auto

SMTP Port:
indicate one kind of mail transmittal port opened by Simple Message Transfer Protocol (SMTP). The
port number for most mails is 25

SMTP server:
indicates server address you used.
•
Username:
this is used to set the user name used for authentication on the SMTP server.
•
Password:
this sets the password assigned to the email account by the sender.
•
Sender:
indicates sender’s email address. The email address should be consistent with the server you use. That is
to say, when you use email address – [email protected], the according server should be smtp.gmail.com.
•
Receiver1:
this indicates the email address of the first recipient. The email address is used to receive image
transmitted from HVR alarm. Please clear the images you have received as soon as possible to avoid overloading
your email account.
•
Receiver2, Receiver3:
you can indicate a second and third email address to which the images transmitted by the
HVR will be sent.
•
Interval:
if images are present in the notification email (images taken during an alarm), more time will be required to
send the email to the recipients. No other warnings can be sent during this time. This option can be used to set this
time interval; possible values are: 1 min, 3 min, 5 min, 10 min.
•
Test Email:
click on the TEST Email button to check operation of the configuration.
Note:
When configuring the messages sent via e-mail, to ensure the correct operation it is suggested to configure a user
account (that is sender address and password) with the same address as the SMTP Server. For example, if an address
like [email protected] is used, the SMTP must be “
smtp.dominio.it
”.
