11.4 SHIPPING TRANSDUCERS FOR SERVICE
It is the customer's responsibility to ensure:
• each transducer is disinfected prior to shipping (
• the transducer is properly packaged for shipment (

• all shipping waybills/paperwork is completed as per the relevant regulations and laws.

Note:
Where transducers (non-critical and semi-critical medical devices/equipment) cannot withstand
sterilization, the FDA recognizes the use of a sterile gel and a sterile transducer cover as an acceptable
method of infection control for ultrasound transducers.
