Collection of Waste Ink within Cap: Movement of Waste Ink to Buffer
Printheads are lifted to separate it from Caps such that Caps are open to the atmosphere. When the
negative pressure in Buffer is released with Pressure Release Valve closed and Suction Valve open,
waste ink flows from Caps to Buffer.
Open/closed states of valves, the operation state of Suction Pump, and the capping state of Printhead
are shown below.
