A remote alarm message can also be configured for transmittal via a serial
port. This is configured using the Seanet RemV4 utility.
5.2.2. Configuring the Alarm
Note
To configure the alarm, it is necessary to first configure an overlay -
refer to the section called “Overlay” for instructions on how to create
and configure an overlay.
Once the overlay is correctly configured and displayed on the screen an alarm
can be set using the
Gate Alarm
dialog which is accessed by right-clicking
on the main Profiler display area and selecting
Gate Alarm
.
Enable Point Detection
When selected this will enable the alarm
function.
Point Threshold #
This sets the number of points that are
allowed outside/inside the gate before an
alarm is triggered.
Inside Gate
/
Outside Gate
Choose which side of the boundary line of
the overlay is set to trigger the alarm.
5.2.3. Configuring the Remote Alarm (RemV4)
A remote alarm can be configured so that if the Profiler goes into alarm
on the local computer it also sends a serial string to another machine. The
configuration is done using the Seanet RemV4 program which will is installed
automatically alongside Seanet Pro.
