Lockout
Sets a minimum range (in metres) from
the transducer where echoes will be
ignored. Effectively, this is a blanking
radius on the Profiler Display area. There
are separate Lockouts for Low and High
Frequency channels.
Sync Mode –
Free Run
,
Scan
Sync
,
Ping Sync
Set to
Free Run
for Single Profiler
operation. When running a Dual head,
enable the Synchronisation controls to
Sync scans of Master and Slave Profiler
Heads. The Synchronisation controls are;
Scan Sync
– Start scans of Master and
Slave at same time,
Ping Sync
– Start
scans at same time then ping Master
and Slave one after the other until end
of scan.
Scan Sync
produces faster
scanning, but
Ping Sync
will eliminate
any potential cross acoustic interference
between the two heads.
Scan Mode –
Right
,
Left
,
Alt
Scan
Right
is anti-clockwise from Left
Limit, looking into rear (connector) end
of Profiler. Scan
Left
is clockwise
from Right Limit. Both these Modes will
produce a transducer flyback to Start
Limit at end of each scan. Scan
Alt
will alternate the Left and Right with no
Transducer flyback thus producing faster
scanning. If
Mirror
control is enabled
then the Slave head will do the opposite
of the control and scan in the reverse
direction to the Master head.
Detect Mode –
1st
,
Normal
,
Max
1st
return will plot the first echo that is
received over the receiver threshold level.
Normal
will plot the strongest echo that
is received whilst
Max
will plot the furthest
echo which can produce better profiles
when operating through cluttered water.
Master En / Slave En
Switch the Master and Slave Profiler
Heads on or off.
Units
Profiler Display Area and cursor co-
ordinates in Metres, Feet, Fathoms or
Yards.
Threshold
This is an 8-bit (0-255) Receiver A/D
Threshold level setting. It sets the detect
