and should nominally be set to around
50. Reducing the Threshold value will
result in back scatter and generally lower
amplitude echo returns being detected
and used in the plotting of the profile.
Conversely, increasing the Threshold
may also reduce the affects of back
scatter. Note: Try changing the
Detect
Mode
before altering this control setting.
Pipetracker
Display panel for serial data input via TSS Pipetracker.
Lat / Vert
The Lateral and Vertical Position data from the Pipetracker
serial message.
Alt
The Altitude data from the Pipetracker serial message.
Bur
The Burial data from the Pipetracker serial message.
The COM Port for the Pipetracker message input is configured using the
Com
Setup
dialog which is launched from the
Utilities
menu. In the dialog
find the device labelled
Pipetracker
and use the arrows in the
COM Port
column to select the correct port. Once the port is selected the status will
change from
Not Available
to
OK
.
Note
In the
Com Setup
dialog it may be necessary to click on the ellipsis
(
...
) button to configure the COM port so that the settings match
those used by the Pipetracker.
