The o-ring seals should be regularly inspected, cleaned and lubricates with

the  appropriate  greasing  compound.  The  body  of  the  unit  should  also  be

inspected for any obvious signs of corrosion, especially in mating surfaces

(such as the waterblock).

6.3.1. Disassembly of the SeaKing unit

Warning

In the unlikely event that the subsea housing has suffered water

ingress at depth there may be internal pressurization. This could

forcibly eject the end-cap when the lock ring is removed.
