TAC-7X
MANUAL

Operator
Technique
Familiarization with the TAC will assist the operator to develop a
smooth and quick insertion and retraction technique. Also, exposure to
the different sounds emanating from the TAC during a cycle will
eventually become check-points to know precisely what event is
occurring (crimping, funnel opening, contact ready-to-crimp, etc.).
The only precautions an operator need observe are:
1.
Do not insert a conductor so fast as to force conductor strands
to spring back out of the contact.
2.
Remove the crimped conductor only when the crimp cycle is
complete.
3.
Remove the crimped conductor immediately after the funnel
opens.
4.
Be certain the feeder bowl is filled only with the proper type
contacts
5.
Be certain to set the adjustable “G” dimension selection to
correspond with the conductor wire gauge being crimped.
