The motor starts but the rope does not move.
Rope jam in the hoist due to damaged or incorrect rope.
Obstructed rope exit.
–
Support the load (e.g. with a wedge clamp or lever hoist).
–
Cut the rope in front of and behind the hoist.
–
Send the hoist to be repaired.
–
When available, install a new rope in replacement hoist.
The load has jammed or is tied in place.

–
Try to free the rope jam through the service opening.
–
If this is not possible: cut the rope away from the free reeler.
–
If necessary dismantle and replace the free reeler.
–
Replace the rope.

–
Clarify the cause and eliminate the fault.
Power supply cable between the mains connection and the control unit
disconnected.
–
Check all cables and connections and repair as necessary.

–
Have the connection repaired by an electrician.
–
If necessary, have it modified by the manufacturer.
Protective cut-out tripped after overheating due to insufficient motor
cooling.
–
Clean motor cover.
Protective cut-out tripped due to overheating caused by the voltage being
too high or too low.
–
Have an electrician measure the voltage and power consumption
when subjected to load.
–
Increase the wire cross-section if necessary.
Two poles in the power supply cable are switched. The built-in reverse
polarity protection locks out the control unit.
–
Turn the phase reverser in the plug by 180°, see Fig. 24.
