Installing the optical disk drive

The following describes the procedure for installing the optical disk drive (See Figure 4-32
and 4-33).

Installing the

ODD rear bracket

and

ODD board

to the optical disk drive and secure

them with the following

screws

•

M2.0

BIND

screw

Installing the

ODD side bracket

to the optical disk drive and secure it with the

following

screw

•

M2.0

S-THIN HEAD screw

Connect the

ODD cable

to the connector on the ODD board.

Install the

optical disk drive

to the slot of the cover assembly and connect the

ODD

cable

to the connector

CN1810

on the system board.

Secure the optical disk drive with

the following

screw

•

M2.5

FLAT HEAD screw

CAUTION: When the optical disk inside the optical disk drive can not be ejected because

of some failure, push the emergency hole.
