DP4500/3500 UPDATING THE FIRMWARE

6.2 Operation Procedure in [ 3 ][ 9 ] Mode

6.2.1 Outline

Connect the copier and PC with a serial cable and turn ON the power while the digital keys [3] and [9]

are pressed simultaneously. The copier enters the "Firmware Version-up Mode". The system software

and UI data can be updated in this mode.

6.2.2 Preparation

The following need to be prepared or performed in advance to update the firmware.

(1)

Software installation

"Virtual modem" and "War FTP Daemon" have to be installed in the PC.

Refer to "6.1 Installing Software for Firmware Update"

"War FTP Daemon" has to be in the "ONLINE" mode to update the firmware.
