Servicing the Gearbox
Checking the Gearbox-Oil Level
Service Interval: Every 100 hours
Use SAE 75W-90 synthetic gear lube.
1. Park the machine on a level surface, disengage
the blade-control switch, and engage the parking
brake.
2. Shut off the engine, remove the key, and wait
for all moving parts to stop before leaving the
operating position.
3. Remove the side or rear plug on the gearbox
(
Figure 76 ).
4. The oil should be up to the opening of the
gearbox.
5. Add oil if needed to bring it to the correct level.

Contact an Authorized Service Dealer to change the
gearbox oil.
