Briggs/Daihatsu Gasoline Engine

8. Using a tachometer, check low idle speed. Low idle

speed should be 1100 + 50 RPM. If low idle is incorrect,

repeat idle stop screw adjustment (step 5). If low idle is

still incorrect, adjust the idle speed screw on the carbu-

retor to obtain 1100 + 50 RPM (Fig. 6).

9. Check high idle speed. High idle speed should be

3600 + 50 RPM. Reposition the high idle stop screw to

adjust high idle speed. Make sure to tighten lock nut af-

ter adjusting high idle stop screw.

10.After engine speed adjustments are complete, lower

the bed or install attachment(s).
