B. Use a multimeter set to DC voltage and check for approximately 12
VDC across the supply (+) pin A and ground (−) pin B of the frame wire
harness connector. This confirms the integrity of the circuit supply and
ground wires.
C. Navigate to the InfoCenter Traction Inputs screen and scroll down to
display the Front Ground or Rear Ground readings.
D. Connect a 12 VDC power supply across the signal (+) pin C and ground
(−) pin B of the frame wire harness connector. Rapidly open and close
the test circuit repeatedly. The InfoCenter speed reading should increase
slightly. This confirms the integrity of the circuit ground and signal wires.
E. Turn the key switch to OFF.
6. If the wire harness tests correctly and a circuit problem still exists, replace
the speed sensor.
