Resolving Liquid Leaks
When
The leak sensor is wet. The leak sensor reports leakage.

When resolving leakage, observe the safety guidelines and general rules
for maintenance and service as presented in
Follow these steps
1. Locate the source of the leak. Leakage usually occurs at a
connection. However, leakage may also have occurred inside the
flow cell.

Flow cell inlet and/or outlet
1. Tighten the connection where liquid is
visible.
2. If the connection seems tight but is still
leaking, remove the capillary/waste
line and check for damage.
3. If the capillary/waste line is damaged,
replace the respective component.
4. If the connection unit or the capillary
between the flow cell and the
connection unit is damaged, replace
the flow cell.
Leak tray but not flow cell inlet or outlet
Leakage may have occurred in the flow
cell.
1. Remove the flow cell from the
detector.
2. Inspect the flow cell for signs of
leakage.
3. If necessary, replace the flow cell.
4. With a cloth or tissue, thoroughly absorb all liquid that has collected
in the leak tray and under the leak sensor. Be careful not to bend the
sensor.
5. Allow the sensor to adjust to the ambient temperature for a few
minutes.
6. If leakage is no longer reported, you can resume operation.
