The method optimizer allows the acquisition window to be reduced by reducing the desired
window or the minimum acceptable window. If you see a yellow warning icon, the optimizer
is at the minimum acceptable window. Deactivating the method optimizer and reducing this
value may resolve the issue.
If you see a red error icon, the window will be at the absolute minimum limit and the only
way to resolve the error is to remove transitions, reduce the number of points across the peak,
and/or ensure that the baseline peak width is set appropriately.
 To reduce the acquisition windows
1. In the Scans pane, go to the first problem analyte and click on the Window (min)
column. See Figure 86 .
2. Decrease the time.
3. While holding down the shift key, click the last problem analyte in the list.
4. Go back to the first analyte you selected, right-click, and choose Fill Down .
5. If the red error icon still appears, and your method allows it, reduce the acquisition
windows further.
Note The method optimizer must be deactivated to perform the following
troubleshooting activities.
