Absorbance Ratio

The Absorbance Ratio application measures the absorption ratio of two different wavelengths.
Reference wavelength correction is available to eliminate the effects of a sample matrix.
Typically used in quality control applications, an absorbance ratio provides a convenient and
quick diagnostic test for sample quality. This section covers:

Setting Up Test Parameters

•

Taking Measurements

•

Recalling a Test

Setting the Parameters for Absorbance Ratio Method

1.

Press the test key to access the Test Types menu.

2.

Press the ▲or ▼ key to highlight Absorbance Ratio and press the enter key.

3.

Highlight and change the displayed test parameters, including Test Name, Wavelength 1,
Wavelength 2 and Sample Positioner. See the

section for more information on

the test parameter settings.

4.

Press the Save Test function key and follow the onscreen prompts to save the test.
