When Basic A-%T-C is set to Absorbance or % Transmittance, these capabilities are provided:

Setting the Wavelength
•
Measuring a Blank
•
Measuring Samples
Setting the Wavelength
1.
Press the Set nm function key to set the wavelength value.
2.
Use the numeric keypad to enter the wavelength value for taking measurements.
3.
Press the Set nm function key again to save the entered wavelength value.
Measuring a Blank
1.
Place the blank in the vial holder carousel.
Note: If a 3-position or 6-position vial holder carousel is in use, the blank must be placed in the
B position. The instrument always uses the B position to collect the blank measurement.
2.
To enter an absorbance or transmittance value for the blank, use the numeric keypad to
enter the desired value.
3.
Press the Measure Blank function key.
Measuring Samples
1.
Prepare the samples to be measured.
2.
Place the sample in the appropriate position on the vial holder carousel. If needed, use the
Sample Positioner keypad to set the vial location.
3.
The absorbance (ABS) or percent transmittance (%T) measurement will be shown on the
instrument display.
