3.10.2 Periodic Maintenance

Check for tubing and syringe leaks. If a tubing leak is found, replace
the tubing as necessary (see

Clean the cartridge or disk holders, racks, and other system surfaces
with warm, soapy water.

Check that all syringe and valve fittings are finger-tight.

Check the O-rings in the bottom of the cartridge holders for cracking
or wear and replace as needed (see

Check overall system performance by running the Benchmark Test
diagnostic method (see
). The Benchmark Test checks
the operation of the front panel, elution station, syringes, pumps, and
valves.
3.10.3 Annual Maintenance
Thermo Fisher Scientific recommends performing preventive
maintenance annually. Each Dionex AutoTrace 280 Preventive
Maintenance Kit provides all the required parts for the procedure.
The replacement tubing must have the same length and ID as the
original tubing. This maintains the accuracy of the Dionex AutoTrace
280 liquid and air push operations.
