Troubleshooting

Troubleshooting

Emergency lid release

In case of a power failure the lid cannot be opened

using the electrical lid release

To permit unloading in

this case, the centrifuge is equipped with an emer-

gency lid release. However, you may use this system

in case of emergency only.

Proceed as follows:
1. Make sure the rotor is at a standstill

(sight glass in the lid).

2. Pull mains plug.
3. On the right- and left-hand side of the front screen

there is a plastic plug, which you can remove with

a screwdriver or a knife.

Emergency release

Rotor can run at high speed! Touch-

ing it may cause severe injuries

Always wait several minutes until

the rotor has come to a complete

standstill without deceleration.

Without power supply the brake is

out of operation, and deceleration

takes much longer than normal!

During a power failure it is impossible

to lock the lid once the emergency lid

release has been actuated

Never decelerate the rotor using your

hands or tools
