Changing the mode of operation
You can change the mode of operation according to your needs. There are three
different ways the menus can be displayed.
-- Simple mode: Your telephone is preset to the simple mode. If you don’t yet feel to
certain about using your phone you can have all selectable functions displayed.
The modes of operation described in this manual refer to the simple mode.
-- Standard mode: In this mode your telephone os set so that no functions are listed
in the main menu which are assigned to set or freely programmable
keys.
-- Soft key mode: If you are familiar with the use of this telephone you can switch to
the soft key mode. While using the telephone all functions are shown by using the
display keys rather than being shown as menu items. For example, to change the
handset volume, press one of the two corresponding display keys. In the idle dis-
play you will see the menu selection as usual.
