MACHINE STORAGE
STORING MACHINE
When storing the machine for extended periods of
time, the following procedures must be followed to
lessen the chance of rust, sludge, or other
undesirable deposits from forming.
1. Empty the debris hopper.
2. Change the engine oil.
3. Raise the main brush and side brush.
4. Park the machine on a level surface in a
cool, dry area.
5. Stop the engine and set the machine
parking brake.
6. Fill the hydraulic reservoir with hydraulic fluid
to prevent excessive condensation from
forming.
7. To store the machine 30 to 90 days:
A. Drain the coolant from the radiator and
engine block.
B. Close the engine cooling system drain
cocks.
To store the machine 90 days to 6 months
also:
C. Seal the air cleaner inlet and the
exhaust outlet with weatherproof
masking tape.
D. Tighten the engine oil filler cap, the fuel
tank cap, and the radiator cap to make
certain they are securely in place.
