Note:
When two switches are inter-connected to implement VLAN function, the inter-connected
ports must be set to the same PVID value and port tag must be set to “Tagged”; otherwise
packets can not be forwarded correctly.
3.6 MAC Address Setting
3.6.1 MAC Aging
To enter the page below, click “MAC Address Setting”—“MAC Aging”.
Check the box to enable MAC address aging function and enter a time value in the aging
time box; then click the “Apply” button to activate your settings.
Field Description
ARL Aging
Check the box to enable MAC address aging function, otherwise
MAC addresses will not age out
Aging Time
Ranges from 10 to 65535, 300s by default
Note:
When address aging function is disabled, the switch stops learning new MAC addresses
and convert the existing MAC addresses in the table into static MAC addresses in the
meantime. The already learned MAC addresses will not become aged out.
