Chapter 3 Configuration Guide
3.1 Login
3.1.1 Configuration Requirements
With the embedded web server in TEG1210P, you can manage and maintain the switch
through the web-based interface. Before accessing switch’s web configuration interface,
make sure your PC meet the following basic configuration requirements:

PC OS: windows 98 higher/above

Ethernet NIC installed
¾
Web browser (Internet Explorer 6.0 or Firefox 1.0 higher) installed
¾
TCP/IP protocols installed and enabled to configure IP address (for configuration
steps, refer to appendix 4.2)
3.1.2 Configuration Preparation
For first-time configuration, we recommend you to connect the switch to a PC only
instead of to many other devices to avoid IP collision. The following table lists the default
parameters of the Switch:

You can log in to the switch’s configuration interface by following the steps below:
1. Connect the switch to a PC’s NIC.
2. Power the switch.
3. Check whether the IP address of the computer is within this network segment:
192.168.0. *** (“***” ranging from 2 to 254). For the IP address configuration, please refer
to Appendix 4.2.
