Status Screen During A Call
When the connection is made, the status screen will appear, and a timer will begin for
each line to show the call duration.
Then, after a call is connected, the status word becomes a call timer.
XX:XX:
Time in HR:MN format.
The colon blinks every second to indicate that the unit is operating, as a “peace- of-
mind” indicator.

Solving ISDN Problems
If you don’t get the
Ready
indications, the SPIDs are the most probable problem. We
have had a number of experiences where Telco people have given incorrect SPIDs to
users. For additional information refer to manual section 10 (Advanced
Troubleshooting), section 5 (ISDN) and section 4 (installation & Basic Operation)
To aid troubleshooting, here is the meaning of each step:
inact:
No line connected, or connected to wrong jack on Zephyr
init:
Before sending SPID to ISDN network, or after seeing external NT1
wait:
SPID has been sent to network
Ready:
SPID has been accepted and everything is OK
ConnW:
Outgoing call in progress; waiting for line.
ConnP:
Outgoing call in progress; call proceeding
ConnR:
Outgoing call ringing
