6.3.6.

 Communications Menu (COMM) 

The M400E comes with 2 serial communications ports located on the rear panel. 

The serial communication ports can be configured to use several different 

communications protocols. By default the COM1 port is setup to use RS-232 and 

COM2 port is configured to be a half-duplex, RS-485 port.  

See Section 6.9 for more information on setting up the analyzer’s COM Ports.  

6.3.7.

 M400E Internal Variables  

The M400E has several user adjustable software variables that can be used to 

manually set certain operational parameters normally automatically set by the 

instruments firmware. These are:
