WCA230A & WCA280A User Manual
Functional Check
The analyzer has a built-in calibration signal source with frequency of 50 MHz
and amplitude of approximately --20 dBm. Using this source, perform this quick
functional check to verify that your instrument is operating correctly.
1.
Turn on the analyzer.
2.
Display the spectrum of the calibration signal:
a.
Press the
S/A
key on the front panel and then press the
Spectrum Analyzer
side key.
b.
Press the
PRESET
key on the front panel to reset the analyzer.
c.
Press the
INPUT
key on the front panel.
d.
Press the
Signal Input Port...
side key to select
Cal
.
The spectrum of the calibration signal appears.
e.
Check that “INPUT: CAL” and “FREE RUN” are displayed in the status
indicator at the upper right of the screen (see Figure 1--13).
