Triggering on Pulses

You can specify whether to trigger on pulses within a certain range of pulse
widths or filter out (ignore) pulses within that range. To ignore pulses outside the
width range you specify, do the following steps.
1. Press TRIGGER MENU

2. Press Lower Limit (side). Turn the general purpose knob or use the keypad
to enter the lower limit for the range of pulses to be ignored. The logic scope
will always force the Lower Limit to be less than or equal to the Upper
Limit.
3. Press Upper Limit (side). Turn the general purpose knob or use the keypad
to enter the upper limit for the range of pulses to be ignored.
4. Press Out of Limits (side). Pulses must have pulse widths that are less than
the lower limit set in step 2 or that exceed the upper limit set in step 3 to
cause the logic scope to trigger. Any pulse meeting those requirements
triggers the logic scope at the trailing edge of the pulse.
5. Readjust the trigger threshold as needed. (See procedure on page 3–144.)
To trigger on, instead of ignore, pulses that fall inside the upper and lower limits
(inclusive) that you specify, press Within Limits instead of Out of Limits in
step 4, above. Any pulse within the range specified triggers logic scope it at the
trailing edge of the pulse.
