To Trigger on a Time-Limit Qualified Pattern
To trigger on a pattern that becomes TRUE (as defined by the logic selected) and
stays TRUE for a time that ends before or extends beyond a time limit you
specify, do the following steps.
1. Define the pattern, Boolean requirements, thresholds, mode, and holdoff
using the methods outlined in To Trigger on a Pattern on page 3–134.
2. Press TRIGGER MENU

3. Press Pattern Trig When (main)

Time (side).
4. Use the general purpose knob or the keypad to set the time limit from when
the pattern becomes TRUE in the side menu.
5. Press < Time, > Time, or Time Out (side). See Table 3–7 on page 3–132 to
select the time qualifier that is appropriate to your application. Also, read the
example that follows.
Figure 3-65 shows an example of > Time qualification. In this case, the Boolean
requirement for the three-input pattern is defined by the AND logic chosen. The
inputs shown, Ch 1 – Ch 3, must match their defined, all HIGH (HHH), a period
exceeding the time limit set, 200
