Accessory

Description

FlexLead Adapter

FlexLead Adapter — provides a convenient way to connect several P6240
probes to several signal pins of an Quad Flat-Pack IC. To put it in use, do the
following steps:

1.

Solder the FlexLead adapter directly to the Quad Flat-Pack IC pins. Follow
the installation instructions accompanying the FlexLead carefully.

2.

Plug each P6240 probe directly across the signal and ground pin pairs. Be
sure the ground connector on each probe tip connects to the ground pin on
the adapter. See the figure at left.

16-Pin SOIC Adapter

16-Pin SOIC Adapter — provides a convenient way to connect probes to a 16
pin IC. Use the Y-LeadSet to connect between the ground pin and any signal pin
on the SOIC adapter. If you need to make room for additional connections to the
SOIC adapter pin (such as the pin connected to ground), add a SMT KlipChip to
the ground lead of the Y-LeadSet before connecting to the SOIC adapter pin.

See Appendix A in this manual for information on ordering this optional
accessory.

24-Pin DIP Adapter

24-Pin DIP Adapter — provides a convenient way to connect probes to a 24 pin
IC. Use the Y-LeadSet to connect between the ground pin and any signal pin on
the DIP adapter. If you need to make room for additional connections to the DIP
adapter pin (such as the pin connected to ground), add a SMTKlipChip to the
ground lead of the Y-LeadSet before connecting to the DIP adapter pin.
