Maintenance
Hydraulic system depletion
When starting the system for the first time and after every oil change, the backhoe can
only undergo any kind of load after the air in the system is totally eliminated (depletion),
as described below.
• Check the oil level.
• Put the control levers in neutral position, start the engine and leave it at an idling
speed for a few minutes.
• Accelerate the engine to 1300 rpm and activate the control lever alternately, causing
the cylinder rods to be in and out in order to reach the maximum stroke.
• After 15 minutes of depletion, retract the cylinder rods completely and recheck the
oil level.
• When the depletion is done properly, there will not be any noise in the hydraulic
system, no foam formed in the soil and the rod should work smoothly.
General maintenance
Cardan shaft:
• Clean the cardan shaft every 15 days or before, if required.
• Remove the protection covers.
• Separate "male" and "female", wash and remove crusts, dry, lubricate sliding parts
with grease and reassemble it.
Backhoe maintenance precautions:
• When the backhoe is not in use, clean residues of products that remain on the
equipment after its use such as grass, dirty and crop residues.
• Wash the backhoe completely with low pressure water (spray), removing the dirty
grease and earth that usually accumulates on corners.
• Repaint the areas when required.
• Clean and lubricate all the grease fittings until the new grease is visible.
• Replace the missing or damaged safety stickers. Marchesan provide these stickers,
upon request and indication of the respective serial number. The operator must know the
need to keep these stickers in place and in good conditions. Also, the operator must be
aware that an accident can occur if the instructions are not followed.
