Working preparation
The hitching sequence described below does not consider the presence of
auxiliary equipment such as hoists or similars to lift the backhoe.
From this point on, make sure to use the levers and its respective cylinders
properly.
Be careful! Do not activate the horizontal rotation lever.
NOTE
NOTE
ATTENTION
The following guidelines must be carefully observed in order to get the best working
performance.
The addition of water ballasts on the tires and counterweights on the front and rear
tractor wheels are the most common ways to increase the traction on the soil and provide
more stability to the tractor. Check if the tractor is in full conditions of use.
To hitch, choose a flat and firm place and proceed as follows:
• Lower the tractor hydraulic arms completely or keep a height of 350 mm above the
soil until the ball articulation center in the lower arms.
• Remove the upper arm (third point) from the tractor.
• Bring the tractor closer to the backhoe until it is possible to couple the cardan shaft.
• Couple the cardan shaft to the tractor power take-off and lock it using a pin.
• Start the tractor engine and activate the power take-off, firstly in low rotation.
• Activate the stabilizer arms levers with short and gentle movements, lifting the
backhoe for a proper level to hitch (+/- 350 mm).
• Activate the levers of the dipper, boom and bucket very carefully until they are
supported on the ground to leave the backhoe leveled and to facilitate the hitching to the
upper and lower arms.
• Hitch the backhoe to the tractor, starting with the lower arms. Use the holes on the
adjusting rod and on the guide to facilitate the hitching to the third point. See the illustration
on the next page.
