Every time you start new measurement with
the
<Start> key, the new file will be created
and saved in this directory after
measurement stop.

If you delete the measurement in the
Measurement point screen, the appropriate
file will be deleted from the point directory.

Note: File Manager also enables tools for managing directories and files, like copying, moving,
renaming and deleting, which are fully described in Chapter
6 .
13.4.3 Results averaging
STIPA measurements require averaging of STI indexes. This averaging concern two aspects:
1) averaging of results for a measurement
point.
Averaged STI for the measurement point is
displayed in the left upper corner of the
Measurement point screen and in the
measurement points list of the Area points list
screen.

2) averaging of results for a tested area.
Averaged STI for the tested area is displayed
in the left upper corner of the
Area points list
screen and in the first position of the Area
summary results screen.

In accordance with most standards, it is good practice to average the results for two or three measurements.
In case of fluctuating noise occurring during measurements, it is recommended to make not less than three
measurements and check whether the spread of the obtained STI results does not exceed 0.03.
Together with the calculation of the average STI (or CIS) for the area, the standard deviation is determined.
13.4.4 STIPA settings
1. Select the STIPA Settings position in
the Measurement section and open it
with the <ENTER> key.
