Motherboard Test
To initialize the motherboard POST:
1. Either:
a. From a terminal connected to ttyA, issue a
break
command to enter OBP, or
b. From a
tip
hardwire connection, send a
break
command.
2. At the OK prompt, type:
The system will now reset and commence POST.
Note –
Non-optional components, such as four SIMMs in slots U0701, U0801, U0901
and U1001, the motherboard, the power supply and the keyboard must be installed
for POST to execute properly. Removing the optional system components and
retesting the system isolates the possibility that those components are the cause of
the failure.
