Removal of the SSD

6. To remove the SSD, slide it out of the mounting bracket.

7. Slide the replacement SSD into the mounting bracket so that the screw holes in

the SSD face upward.

8. Align the four screw holes in the SSD with four holes in the mounting bracket

and secure the SSD to the mounting bracket using the four screws.

9. Attach the cable to the SSD.

The cable is keyed for correct installation.

10. If necessary, install the Sun Blade RAID Expansion Module (see

“To Install a

RAID Expansion Module” on page 3-35

3.4.8

Replacing the Motherboard (FRU)

The motherboard is shipped installed in a server module enclosure. Do

not

remove

the motherboard from the enclosure. Instead, remove components from the old
motherboard and enclosure assembly, and install these components into the new
motherboard and enclosure assembly.
