Start ignored by
frequency inverter.
Please check the hood.
MESSAGE
(#28) The start button

was
pressed and cutting did
not start. The most likely
cause is that the cutting
chamber hood has not
been properly closed (D-
65 only).
Check that the hood is closed properly.
If the error message is still displayed,
Switch off the Discotom at the Main Switch
and call a Struers service technician.
Auto stop function not
calibrated ! ERROR
(#29) During power up, a motor
control function was not
activated.
(D-65 only).
The Discotom can be used, but the Auto
stop function will not work.
Call a Struers service technician.
Cutting motor
supervision error,
contactor K1 not
activated ERROR
(#30) The start button

was
pushed, but the K1 motor
contact was not activated
(similar messages can be
displayed showing
contacts K2, K3, K4 and
K5).
(D-60 only).
Switch off and on at Main Switch.
If the error message is still displayed,
contact a Struers service technician.
Cutting motor
supervision error,

deactivated ERROR

Emergency stop

(#32) Pull the button out to re-set the Emergency
stop and allow Discotom to be re-started.
Cutting finished,
stopped by auto stop MESSAGE
(#33) Cutting stopped because
the amount of current
used by the motor fell
beneath the Auto stop
value. If the sample has not been cut through, this
could be because cutting the sample has
not required much motor power.
This can be the case with thin walled tube
samples. Change the stop position to
Relative or Absolute instead of Auto.
No cutting motor
current! ERROR
(#34) At the start of a cutting
operation, the motor
current is less than 1.0
Ampere.
(D-60 only)
Check that the Discotom is correctly
connected to the mains power supply and
that all 3 phases are functional.
Switch off and on at Main Switch.
If the error message is still displayed,
contact a Struers service technician.
