Measurements to be performed
Power supply:
Step 1:
Set your multimeter to alternating current/volt. Plug in
the power cable and set the switch to ON. Connect the
measuring prongs to the ON/OFF switch as shown. Dis-
play 200-240 V?
If power is present, proceed with step 3. If no power is
present, proceed with step 2.
Step 2:
Set your multimeter to alternating current/volt. Plug in
the power cable and set the switch to ON. Connect the
measuring prongs to the ON/OFF switch as shown. Dis-
play 200-240 V?
If power is present, replace the ON/OFF switch. If no
power is present, check the power cable and power sup-
ply.
Thermal switch function:
Step 3:
Check the thermostat: disconnect the thermostat wires
(yellow) at the connector. Set your multimeter to ohms:
the resistance should be 3.9 kohms.
NOTE: The motor must be cool for this measurement.
Replace the potentiometer and pressure sensor:
Step 4:
Plug in the power cable and set the switch to ON. Dis-
connect the potentiometer from the controller.
Device starts up: replace the potentiometer.
Device does not start up: test with a new pressure sen-
sor.
Device starts up: replace the sensor.
The device does not start up: replace the controller.
