The engine speed is controlled automatically,
depending on the load on the engine.
NOTE
Do not allow the engine to warm up at idling
speed. When under load, drive the truck at a
brisk speed. The engine will quickly reach its
operating temperature.
Switching off the engine
CAUTION
For engines with a turbocharger, there is a risk
that the high speed of the turbocharger shaft (≥
100,000 rpm at full load) could cause the shaft bear-
ing to run dry through lack of lubrication, thus dam-
aging it.
Do not switch off engine under full load, but rather
allow it to run on for a few minutes at low speed.
