•
Position vehicles straight on the vehicle lift. Position the vehicle to a
maximum of 4" off the centre.
•
Before operation of the vehicle lift, be sure that no persons or objects
are present under, on or in the immediate proximity of the vehicle lift
(including vehicles).
•
During lifting and lowering, watch the vehicle carefully. Obstacles
(trestles etc.) under the vehicle during lowering can cause dangerous
situations and damage. The placement of an excessively high vehicle
on the lift can also cause dangerous situations and damage during
lifting.
•
Do not stand on or under the vehicle (with load) when the lift is
operated. Do not climb on the lift or vehicle.
•
In the event of faults and after work, position the vehicle lift at its lowest
setting and switch the main switch off. This means that the main switch
is turned to the 0 position. Secure the switch with a padlock.
•
During welding onto a vehicle on the lift, take care of adequate earthing
of the vehicle to prevent damage to the hydraulic cylinder, cables etc.
•
Do not use the lifting system outdoors.
•
Danger of getting injured by electrical shock.
•
Only remove the covers to carry out maintenance, ensure that the
vehicle lift is disconnected from the power supply. Take care as burns
can occur from touching hot parts.
•
This vehicle lift should only be used for lifting of vehicles and not for
other applications. Always consult the vehicle lifting guide for the
proper lifting points on any vehicle. These guides are available from
the vehicle manufacturers. The positioning of the lifting system must
be done in a way that a safe working area will be obtained, Thereby
creating escape paths for emergency situations (leave passageways of
at least 24").
•
Whenever a vehicle is raised on the lift, always raise the mobile
columns lifts to at least above the first safety lock.
•
Always lover the mobile column lifts into the safety lock before starting
any work on the vehicle or leaving the vehicle unattended.
