13.4 Pump Head Replacement
1. Switch the power ON/OFF s
witch to the OFF position (denoted by “O” on the switch).
2. Disconnect the power cord from the main supply source and the rear panel of the unit.
3. Detach the pump head by depressing and holding the pump head release lever and then
rotating the pump head 45° counter-clockwise (see
Figure 13-27 and Figure 13-28
).
4. Remove the adhesive sticker from the back of the new pump head (see
Figure 13-29
).
5. Rotate the new pump head 45° counter-clockwise to align the keyed slot on the back of
the pump head with the drive shaft on the pump head mounting plate. Once aligned,
rotate the pump head 45° clockwise until it locks into position (see
Figure 13-30 and
Figure 13-31
).
6. Visually verify the pump head and the pump head mounting plate are aligned.
7. Open and close the pump head lid; visually verify it opens and closes completely.
8. Reconnect the power cord to the rear panel of the unit and the mains supply source.
9. Switch the power ON/OFF s
witch to the ON position (denoted by the “I”, switch will
illuminate).
10. Depress the irrigation pedal on the footswitch and visually verify the pump head rotates.
