10.2.2 Tap-a-
Tool™ Software
Optionally, the user can see and use alternative default power settings for a particular pictured
accessory by engaging the Tap a Tool™ software feature. To do so, the user simply touches
the picture of the accessory (tool) of choice. The picture’s background will change color
reflecting the selection, as shown in
Figure 10-2
Deselecting, by simply touching the picture
once again, returns the user to the all accessory default setting.

The Tap-a-
Tool™ feature shows pictograms of generally representative samples of common
classes of electrosurgical accessories used in flexible endoscopic procedures with
electrosurgery generators. The pictograms do not indicate any specific brand of such
accessories.
Double Tapping:
Double tapping (touching quickly twice) the active Argon or Bipolar Method buttons will revert
Argon or Bipolar Method(s) to their default power settings.
Double tapping the active Monopolar Method button will:
•
Revert the screen to Monopolar Coag Mode default setting.
•
Revert all Monopolar Mode(s) to their default power settings.
Double tapping the active Monopolar Mode button will revert the active Monopolar Mode to
the default power setting.
When power is actively being delivered in any method or mode, an information screen will
appear which displays the maximum power being delivered. You may not engage both the
power and the irrigation footswitch at the same time.
