is completely undamaged before use.
Plug power cord into a dedicated or separate AC Mains outlet. Never
plug the gi4000 power cord into a surge protector or extension cord.
Ensure the dispersive electrode is located as far away as possible from
patient ECG electrodes and leads.
Always use shielded video cables with video processing equipment
and monitors. Isolate the generator as far away as possible from video
processing equipment and monitors.
When not in use, unplug the Active Cord from the gi4000 and store it
in a location that is isolated from the generator, any other electronic
equipment and the patient.
Ensure the gi4000 Power Cord and Active Cord, as well as any
energized accessory devices are not touching any computer or laptop
accessories or cords, patient ECG leads, or patient ECG power cables.
Ensure that video cables are located as far as possible from the Active
Cord and gi4000 Power Line cord. Be sure cords are not touching one
another, including the endoscope processor power cords.
If necessary, work with your endoscope manufacturer to purchase
shielded video cables, or auxiliary endoscope grounding cables.
