Click
[Transfer].
A message indicating that the transfer has
started appears and the audio files that you
selected in step 3 are transferred.
You can also check the transfer status in the
“Import music from PC” display on the unit.
When the transfer has completed, the transfer
results appears in the “Music Transfer” software.
When you quit the “Music Transfer” software on
the computer, the “Import from PC” display on the
unit automatically closes.
Note
If the unit and the computer are connected through a
wireless LAN connection and the transfer cannot be
done, reconnect the unit to the computer using a network
(LAN) cable and try transferring audio files again.
When “No destination found” appears in the “Music
Transfer” software
When the following message appears on the computer,
confirm that the unit and the computer are connected
directly with the network (LAN) cable, and then do the
following operation.

On the unit, select [This unit cannot be found
from PC...] after the display indicating the
completion of the preparations for file import.

When the LAN cable connection display
appears, confirm that the unit and the
computer are connected directly with the
network (LAN) cable, and then select [Import
using LAN cable].

When the display indicating the completion
of the preparations for file import appears,
transfer the imported audio files from the
“Music Transfer” software to the unit.
For details, see “To transfer imported audio files
from the “Music Transfer” software to the unit”
(page 60).
Note
If you change the network settings on the computer, be
sure to record the current settings beforehand. In some
cases, if you do not restore the previous network settings,
you may not be able to connect to the previous network.
To uninstall the “Music Transfer”
software
Insert the “Music Transfer” CD-ROM into the
CD drive of the computer, and then follow the
instructions that appear in the display to uninstall
the software.
Or, click the [Start] menu, select [Control Panel]
– [Add or Remove Programs] (Windows XP) or
[Control Panel] – [Programs] – [Programs and
Features] (Windows Vista), select “Music Transfer”
from the list, and then click [Remove].
