4-2-6. Installing the PCU
This server uses the Proliant DL360 G3/G4/G4p/G5/G6/G7 made by HP. Therefore, no warranty is
provided by Sony. The user can receive the support anywhere in the world by connecting the maintenance
contract with the local HP company.
The PCU is packed together with some models at the time of shipment but not included for other models.
For the models (see the list below) that do not have the PCU in the package, purchase the server of the
specified model beforehand.
This item describes unpackage, setup and installing method to basic storage system.

When the OS requires installation, refer to “4-2-9. PCU Setup”.

The monitor, the mouse and the keyboard for operating PCU are optional. Prepare them in
accordance with the following specifications.
Monitor specification:
Sony SDM-X52 or equivalent
Mouse specification:
Sony DMSP-KMS1 or equivalent (PS/2 Mouse)
Keyboard specification:
Sony DMSP-KBE1 or equivalent (PS/2 Keyboard)
Note 1)
The PS/2 interface is not supported from Proliant DL360 G7 manufactured by HP. Therefore,
prepare the mouse and the keyboard that are compatible with USB.
Also, the supplied PS/2 extension cables (K/M EXTENSION
x
2) cannot be used. Therefore,
prepare the USB compatible extension cables.
