switchport native vlan
This command configures the PVID (i.e., default VLAN ID) for a port.
Use the
no
form to restore the default.
Syntax
switchport native vlan
vlan-id
no switchport native vlan
vlan-id
- Default VLAN ID for a port.
(Range: 1-4093, no leading zeroes)

Command Usage
• Setting the native VLAN for a port can only be performed when the
port is a member of the VLAN and the VLAN is untagged. The “no
switchport native vlan” command will set the native VLAN of the
port to untagged VLAN 1.
• If acceptable frame types is set to
all
or switchport mode is set to
hybrid
, the PVID will be inserted into all untagged frames entering
the ingress port.
Example
The following example shows how to set the PVID for port 1 to VLAN 3:
Console(config)#interface ethernet 1/1
Console(config-if)#switchport native vlan 3
Console(config-if)#
