Hardware Preparation and Installation
Installation Procedure
1.
Visually inspect the blade and backplane connectors for damage or bent pins before
attempting to insert a blade. If any connector damage or pin damage in observed, stop
before inserting the blade and send the damaged item through proper repair channels.
2.
Slide the latch into the release position and pull out the handle outward to unlatch the
handle from the face plate. Do not pull the handle fully outward.
3.
Insert blade into the shelf by placing the top and bottom edges of the blade in the card
guides of the shelf. Make sure that the guiding module of shelf and blade are aligned
properly.
