Installation
Figure B-3, Captive Screws in the AXP1440-D Chassis on page 132
depicts the ATCA
blades installed from the front of the chassis. Two internal captive screws in the rear of the
chassis are used to lock the two ATCA-F140-D blades to the backplane. Two screws in the
rear of the chassis are fastened to the specialized locking attachment blocks on the
ATCA-F140-D blade.

Installation Procedure
1.
If the RTM-ATCA-F140-D RTM is present, loosen all screws on the RTM, including
those on the Zone 3 block and remove the RTM.
2.
Remove the alignment tool from its stowed location in the RTM region, and secure it to
the RTM side of the slot where you wish to remove the ATCA-F140-D front blade. Refer
to the following figure for location of the alignment tool. The

manual has additional information on the use of the alignment tool.
