NEUTRAL ADJUSTMENT
Tuff Torq K-56 Models
The neutral gate of the Tuff Torq K56 is established
internally and should not need to be adjusted. If the trac-
tor creeps forward or backward with the ground speed
control pedal at rest (neutral position) while the engine is
running, perform the following adjustment:
1. Block the front tires.
2. Using an overhead chain hoist or hydraulic floor jack,
elevate the rear end of the tractor so that the wheels
do not contract the ground. Position jackstands
under the rear frame.
3. Remove the clip ring and washer securing the right
rear wheel. Remove the wheel.
4. Using a 17 mm wrench loosen the neutral adjustment
jam nut (A, Figure 7).
5. Activate the seat switch, depress the clutch / brake
pedal, and start the engine.
6. Release the clutch / brake pedal.
6. Using an 8 mm wrench adjust neutral by turning the
eccentric (B, Figure 7).
7. Once neutral has been established, hold the eccen-
tric (B) in place and secure in position with the jam
nut (A).
8. Fully depress the ground speed pedal in both direc-
tion and check that it returns to neutral and the rear
wheels do not creep.
9. After adjustments have been completed, shut off the
engine, replace the right rear wheel, and lower the
tractor.
9. Perform GROUND SPEED CONTROL PEDAL
ADJUSTMENT procedure (see Page 4-7).
