11. Support the transmission and carrier assembly with a
floor jack (see Figure 4). Support the tractor frame
with jackstands positioned in front of the carrier (see
Figure 5). THE CARRIER AND TRANSMISSION
ASSEMBLY MUST BE SUPPORTED SEPARATELY
FROM THE FRAME.
12. Remove the flange locknuts (D, Figure 6) from the
front and back carrier mounting capscrews (A).
13. Using the floor jack lower the transmission and carri-
er assembly just enough to allow the carrier cap-
screws (A, Figure 6) and spacers (C & E) to be easily
removed.
14. Lower the transmission and carrier assembly out of
the frame.
